What is Ron Paul's jobs plan?

I have no doubt that he would cut lots of spending but I would expect more jobs loss than jobs creation.

To some degree I think this is a necessary evil of adopting a sustainable jobs model that is based on private sector employment instead of taxpayer based employment which requires ever increasing taxes to pay for more jobs and cost of living increases, etc.

  1. There would no doubt be less government jobs but the changes he wants really would help the economy.

Think about all the wealth that is currently taking from citizens and used to pay for those government jobs. That wealth is not disappearing if the government does not take it and spend it. Instead it is left in the hands of millions of people to spend in ways they see fit. Some of that money will go torwards buying more goods which leads indirectly to more jobs. Other money would go torwards investments/retirement funds which would give companies capital needed to expand. Other money would go torwards charities to help people that used to rely on the government which would also recreate some of the government jobs cut.

The hard part is that the money is trickled out to millions of people so it is hard to point at it and say that is what created the jobs like they can do if the government takes all the money and spends it in one big wasteful program. But the good thing is people would be employed again and whether they recognize that it was the freedom given by a small government president or not, they will not care too much. Just like in the past, employed people generally are happy with their president.

  2. I agree with you but I still suspect it isn't going to convince the masses to elect him because there's no direct plan suggesting that jobs will be created.
Luckily, I suppose we don't really need to convince the masses, we just have to convince a majority of the voters.
Are potential voters with Republican leanings more likely to actually vote than ones with Democratic leanings?
